I posted them as a practice to see how easy this Web2 site works. Well its real easy.
I was asked to check out digg for my Learnscope reporting day so that I could give a brief rundown on what it is and what it does. At first glance I though no big deal. Its just a place for people to post links to articles so that others could read these articles if they were interested. BUT on further exploration I have seen several cool things about this site. They are:
- It IS articles but you can refine your digg interests a little bit so that you dont get every single posting. Choose your interest.
- If you watch the site in its 'swarm' or 'stack' version it is almost like a game (I cant describe it youll just have to check it out)
- If you find an article of interest you can click on 'blog this' and it goes straight to your blog (as I did with the previous 2 posts).
- SOOO instead of doing a google search (or other) you can just scan whats coming in here and then have a look at what interests you.
DOWNFALLS - I havent yey been able to refine diggs searching power to somethnig as specific as 'sexual health' which I am interested in. SO I dont even know if this is possible.
Of course it also depends on what others are posting if something interesting comes up.
But I like it so far.
